Computer Software Problems?

What is Computer Software?

Computer software is a term that’s used for computer programs and any related data in which it provides the instructions that tells a computer what to do and how to do it.  Usually, more severe software problems are often caused by hardware failure.  Examples of this include things such as no start (with or without an error message), frequent crashes with different errors each time, frequent freezes or Windows running extremely slow.   This can all indicate hard disk, memory (RAM), motherboard or overheating problems. PC Plus Computing has the best team to resolve all computer software problems.

Symptoms

The most common software problems are often caused by viruses and spyware. Things such as your computer is running slow, the Internet doesn’t work, there’s an icon that tries to trick you into buying some kind of “anti-spyware”, or  when you try to start a program, it takes more than a minute for it to appear, etc.

The other common issues of software problems is when updating or installing a new driver or a Windows update. In these types of cases.  be sure to restart the computer in safe mode and then use Windows’ built-in system restore to undo the last installation/update. If the computer doesn’t  start in safe mode, therefore Windows will have to be reinstalled.

Troubleshooting:

There are two ways of doing this type of issue:

First way is try to remove all viruses and spyware.  Although there are some really nasty trojans and root kits that are almost impossible to remove, this method seems faster and easier, but it can take anywhere from two to seven hours.

Second option is to reinstall Windows.  Either Backup your files, reinstall/restore Windows, and then install back all the programs you used and copy back your files.  This method will probably take at least three or five hours and you will have to redo all custom settings you have in Windows and in the main programs you use. The good about method is that it will take care of all software problems you may be having and your computer will run faster at the end.

problems related to hardware and software. Knowing where to start troubleshooting can save you lots of time. As the time is money–

Some Common Computer Problems

1. Computer is Slow

It probably due to the malware or too many startup software or due to huge data pile of temporary files. To get rid of this problem try to delete the temporary file or disabling the start-up application.

If this problem still not resolved then its a hardware thing for sure. The hard drive is fragmented or not enough RAM or maybe an old CPU.

2. Computer keeps restarting

These problems are generally due to some hardware malfunction, maybe there is a problem in graphics driver slot. Maybe RAM is not properly attached in its slot. If it still not fixed then you can check for some OS Update issue.

3. Keyboard, mouse or other peripherals aren’t working properly

It’s most probably peripheral’s driver issue. If not then it could be computer port issues or peripheral component issues.

4. Internet is slow

It is generally due to a software/app in background is consuming the bandwidth. If not related to software then network adapter hardware is faulty. Still unable to surf fast then get in touch with your ISP.

5. Computer freezes

These are most common and most of the time, related to software due to the running of incompatible software running on your system. If not these are most of the time are the cooling issue in hardware.

6. PC blue screen of death

Hardware is the one and only thing related to this issue.  Although it could be your drivers.

7. Sudden shut-off…or sudden anything weird

This one is also related to the hardware of your system or laptop. These are easily resolved by just cleaning up your system frequently and cleaning the dust from the port.

If you’re lucky, your problem is a Computer software problem that can be easily resolved by running a repair utility or uninstalling and reinstalling if it’s a desktop app or logging off and on again if it’s a cloud app. To keep problems away, keep your software updated.
